Two Suspects arrested over the long weekend

Not even the Gerhard Street bridge is safe anymore!
A suspect is in custody at SAPS Lyttelton after he and his partner attempted to steal the metal railings from the Gerhard Street bridge in the Centurion CBD, during broad daylight on Human Rights day.

Vigilant Community members reported the suspicious behaviour and Security service providers responded. Unfortunately, one of the perpetrators fled the scene, but one suspect was arrested and the tools which they brought with in order to remove the railing, were found at the scene.
Another suspect is in custody at SAPS Wierdabrug after a client reported a suspect in his yard on Saturday.
The suspect was arrested by the Monitor Net Response officers and a dangerous weapon, namely a panga, was found in his possession.

Police is investigating the matter.
Monitor Net wish to thank Community members who report suspicious incidents and who actively makes a difference in their Communities.
We urge people not to confront suspects themselves but to mobilize Police or Armed response, and not place their own lives at danger.
