Over the weekend, officers stationed at Grootfontein Estate successfully detained a suspect following a swift response to a panic alarm activation.
The incident occurred when a suspect unlawfully entered a client’s premises within the estate. The homeowner immediately activated their panic button, alerting the Monitor Net Control Room and response teams. Reaction officers were dispatched without delay and arrived on scene quickly.
Upon noticing the presence of authorities, the suspect attempted to flee from SAPS members who were also in the area. However, thanks to the rapid coordination and decisive action of the officers, the suspect was successfully detained before he could escape.
The individual was subsequently handed over to SAPS for further investigation.
