Armed robbery suspects arrested and stolen stock recovered.
Following a lengthy investigation into a syndicate involved in business robberies dating back to November 2024, four suspects were apprehended yesterday in Kempton Park.
The arrests were made after surveillance was conducted at a residential property.
Multiple private security companies, along with law enforcement agencies, gathered intelligence on the suspects as well as vehicles linked to the robberies.
Local law enforcement and security forces were deployed to the Kempton Park area to follow up on information regarding a suspected safe house used by the criminals.
Surveillance teams were positioned to monitor movement at the premises.
Members observed a white Toyota Hilux and a silver Mazda BT-50 arriving at the house, where suspects began loading boxes. An immediate request was made to intercept, and four suspects were detained. Stolen property valued at approximately R8 million was recovered.
No shots were fired, and all suspects were arrested without injury. The stolen stock was positively identified as items from the recent Centurion robbery, as well as the Midrand robbery, where Schedule 6 medication was stolen.
All suspects were detained at Norkem Park SAPS.
Law enforcement and security forces attended the scene. The vehicles and recovered goods were processed by the LCRC and handed over to the relevant VCIU and SAP13 sections.
Further investigations are underway to link the suspects to additional cases, and more arrests are expected soon.
