High visibility patrols led to the arrest of a shoplifter!
Monitor Net Tactical Units were on visibility patrols in the Wierdapark area. During this time the manager of a well-known clothing store alerted our officer of an alleged suspect that stole merchandise from the store.
Our officer immediately spotted the suspect and after a short chase, the suspect was detained, along with the recovered stolen goods.
A case of shoplifting has been opened and is currently under investigation by Wierdabrug SAPS. We would like to thank Wierdabrug SAPS for the swift and efficient assistance received in detaining the suspect.
