On Wednesday evening, security forces managed to detain two suspects involved in armed robberies.
The suspects were spotted in Wierdapark, and while an attempt was made to stop the vehicle, the suspects fled, damaged a Monitor Net vehicle, and tried to ram the response officer.
A high-speed car chase ensued, but the vehicle was stopped at a shopping centre in Wierdapark, Centurion after advanced tactical measures were taken.
Two suspects were detained, and one managed to escape. Six cell phones were retrieved. All services were on the scene to conduct the respective investigations.
Well done to all members involved in this successful arrest.
