An early morning on Wednesday 21 January, operation resulted in the successful interception of a vehicle wanted by the South African Police Service (SAPS) for theft.
The vehicle was positively identified through Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) systems and subsequently stopped through a coordinated effort between Wierdabrug SAPS and Monitor Net Reaction members. The swift response and effective collaboration ensured the situation was handled safely and efficiently.
Following the stop, the vehicle was taken to the relevant SAPS safekeeping facility, where it will undergo further investigation in accordance with standard procedures.
