In the early hours of the morning, vigilant response officers of Monitor Net observed two suspects behaving suspiciously in the Mnandi area while conducting routine patrols.
Upon approaching the individuals to investigate further, the suspects attempted to flee the scene. Monitor Net officers immediately pursued the suspects on foot, leading to a short chase during which one of the suspects was successfully apprehended.
During the investigation, members discovered multiple items commonly used in theft and break-in activities inside a wheelbarrow that the suspects had been pushing. These items are believed to be linked to criminal activity in the area.
The apprehended suspect was handed over to Olievenhoutbosch SAPS for further investigation and processing. Monitor Net commends all members involved for their vigilance and swift action, which contributed to preventing potential criminal activity in the community.
